Being that you're reading this, more than likely you've already heard the news. Michigan, specifically our Governor, is now the first state to ban flavored e-cigarette and vaping products. This action takes effect immediately and bans all flavors except tobacco flavors, though, includes menthol flavors as well.
This is a truly unfortunate turn of events for Michigan smokers and this decision was based on faulty research and a lack of understanding this industry. This cannot stand and requires the attention of not just Michigan residents, but all citizens of this great United States. This precedent cannot be set, we must stand against it, because if Michigan can do it - your state can too. We stand firmly behind others who say that Youth vaping needs to stop, but banning flavors that have been essential for Adult Smokers is not the path to do it. We need enforcement of age restrictions, not further legislating an entire industry into oblivion.
Please, take a moment to read the below statement by CASAA and take action as they suggest. We have been calling and emailing non-stop since this news broke. Please, make your voice heard! The vaping community must stand together! We will be doing everything in our power to combat this severe overreaction and overreach by our Governor.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is taking executive action to BAN THE SALE OF ALL FLAVORED VAPOR PRODUCTS.
This ban takes effect IMMEDIATELY
and will last for six months. After which, the ban can be renewed.
This is not a partial ban on some flavors or some retail locations. Online and retail sales of flavored vapor products are banned after a 30-day sell-through period.
Take Action TODAY by calling Governor Whitmer’s office and urging her to rescind this order.
