SMOK RPM 3 Replacement Coils

The SMOK RPM 3 Replacement Coils are official mesh atomizer heads for SMOK's current generation of pod mod kits, sold five to a pack. Both builds use mesh construction for fast ramp-up and even heat across the wick, which means less of the hot-spot dry patching that shortens coil life. The 0.15Ω runs 40–80W with a rapid ramp-up and heavy vapor output, while the 0.23Ω sits at 20–45W with a more even heat surface and a smoother, more flavor-focused draw. Both install press-fit — push the coil straight into the base of the pod, no threading, no tools. Both are tuned for direct-lung vaping with low-nicotine, high-VG e-liquid.

FAQ

Q: Which devices take RPM 3 coils?

A: The SMOK Nord 5, Nord GT, RPM 5 and RPM 5 Pro, plus the RPM 85 and RPM 100 when fitted with the RPM 3 version of the pod. Confusingly, the coil name doesn't refer to a device called "RPM 3" — it's the coil generation, not the kit.

Q: Will these fit my RPM, RPM 2 or RPM 4?

A: No. Each of those generations takes its own coil, and they are not interchangeable. Check which pod generation your device uses before ordering — this is the single most common mistake with SMOK's RPM range.

Q: Which resistance should I pick?

A: Go with 0.23Ω if you want better flavor definition, longer battery life and a cooler vape. Go with 0.15Ω if your mod can push 60W or more and you want maximum vapor. If you're unsure, the 0.23Ω is the safer everyday choice.

Q: How do I install a coil?

A: Pull the old coil straight out of the pod base and push the new one in until it seats. It's a friction fit — don't twist it.

Q: Do I need to prime a new coil?

A: Yes, and skipping this is the main cause of burnt coils. Drip a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton ports, fill the pod, then let it stand for ten minutes before your first puff. Start at the low end of the wattage range and work up.

Q: What e-liquid should I use?

A: High-VG freebase e-liquid at low nicotine strength — usually 3mg or 6mg. Don't use nicotine salts or high-nicotine e-liquid with sub-ohm mesh coils; the vapor output makes nicotine delivery far too harsh.

Q: How long does a coil last?

A: Typically one to two weeks with regular use. Heavily sweetened or dark e-liquids caramelise on the mesh and can cut that to a few days.

Q: Why does my coil taste burnt straight away?

A: Almost always insufficient priming, or running above the recommended wattage. Prime properly, keep the pod topped up, and don't chain-vape a fresh coil for the first few tanks.
