My first run at stainless steel as far as building goes. It's a much cleaner flavor for those who can't figure out what that "weird taste" is they're getting from kanthal. I don't like the ohms discrepancy at all (an unbelievable .25 average), but being able to use more wraps is a fun payoff. Just wish the gap was a LITTLE smaller. 8 wraps for a .32 @ 16amps is kinda silly, although again, the flavor is the benefit here.
This Ni80 tricore fused clapton wire with the 28g cores works well on both mechanical and regulated devices, depending on the size and the number of wraps. For dual coil, 5 wraps @ 2.5mm for mechs and 5 wraps @ 3mm for regulated seems to work well for me.
